Loydean's Story
Attended Madison and View Ridge Elementary Schools, North Junior, and proud graduate of Cascade High School class of 1969 (was it really that long ago!). On to Everett Junior College for fun as a cheerleader as I worked toward my AA Degree and Teacher's Aide certification (now we are called Educational Assistants). Moved on to daycare in my home when my son Tristan was born, before owning a larger day care center in downtown Everett. Next job was as a Chiropractic Receptionist/Billing Clerk, then my career path finally led me to the Snohomish County Public Works Department (promotional path: Office Assistant, Secretary, and Drainage Technician in the Surface Water Management Division, and finally Project Management Coordinator in the Engineering Services Division). Retired May 31st of 2012 after 22 years with Snohomish County...and am enjoying every day. Recently celebrated my 18 year anniversary with ...Expand for more
the Stampin' UP! Company - I teach (yippee) making handmade greeting cards and scrapbooking. Lived in Everett, Mukilteo, Snohomish (near Seattle Hill Elementary School) and in December 2020 moved to Moses Lake to a new 1-story home (yippee - no more stairs). Son Tristan served in the Navy after graduation, was married in December of 2012...and on May 7th 2014 I became a Grandma!!! Steve's son Wesley is about the same age as Tristan and teaches English in Taiwan. Steve retired in 2013 then we promptly began traveling around the US for fun, and to enhance our respective family genealogy research. Together we've managed to find many of my birth mother's family - my stepmother's family has already been done by others, as has my dad's side of the family. It's exciting to finally know where you came from. Enough for now...maybe I'll see some of you at our next class reunion. Rubber Hugs to you all...Loydean
